Brady on the field today in helmet and sweatpants

Posted by David Lefort, Boston.com Staff May 27, 2009 02:40 PM

Reporters aren't allowed their first glimpse of Tom Brady at practice until tomorrow, but the team's cameras were on hand at Gillette today to film the Patriots quarterback tossing passes in a helmet, sweatpants, and white No. 12 jersey.

Brady, who wasn't wearing pads, is shown throwing to new acquisition Joey Galloway and familiar target Randy Moss.

Linebacker Adalius Thomas and running back Laurence Maroney, both of whom missed much of last season with injuries, were also shown participating in today's OTA.

  1. Wow, that clip makes me feel a lot better about Brady. His feet are still there. His footwork was what made him the best, and it's clear the knee hasn't affected him in that regard.

  1. wow. if Maroney shows that sort of decisiveness in a game punching through a hole he might actually do well. I know it's only practice and no pads, but the lack of dancing was nice to see.

brady seems to be looking good. didn't see any hesitation in the footage. glad he's back!
