Chris Hanson stands alone at punter
In a move that leaves veteran Chris Hanson as the lone punter on the roster, the Patriots released rookie Aaron Perez today.
Perez had been signed by the Patriots as an undrafted rookie free agent on May 4. The 22-year-old played for four seasons at UCLA from 2005-08.
The Patriots now have 90 players on their roster.

That's the final straw. Belichick has no idea what he's doing. Perez will be a star and now the Jets are going to pick him up and win the entire kit-and-caboodle. Clearly Pioli was the brains of this rag-tag outfit.
I want what he's smoking
Well, this isn't surprising.
No NFL team carries 2 punters on their roster.
Did you guys really think a rookie was going to beat out Chris Hanson?

Surely you jest???
This move will surely draw a 13 paragraph response from Fanatical Yankee.
Hey ? You must have an education of a peanut. If you are up for it maybe even a small wager? Nah, didn't think you had the ability to comprehend the difference between an NFL veteran and a rookie . . .
southn and Scooter - relax guys it clearly was a joke.
#1 must be from Boulder, Colorado. I heard the water bubbling in the bong.
Hanson is quality player. You know what you're getting. Anyone remember Scott Sisson?
#1 proves the point that there is no shortage of nitwits. He is leading the pack.
Was that the real Scooter? Now in KC?
I think it's another great move and anyone that is suprised, is a little off.

Y'all ever hear of sarcasm?
#1 stated his case, #2-11 Responded to #1, #12 stated the obvious and only #1 responded to the actual report. Hanson has done very well for the Pats.
The real nitwits are the ones responding to #1.
Take Axxelson off the first line!
As long as we're not commenting on the blog entry...
Why cut him now?
Wouldn't it be better if Hanson had some training camp competition?
