Embracing the pro game

Posted by Chris Forsberg, Boston.com Staff May 4, 2009 12:50 PM

The Globe's Mike Reiss writes on Patriots second-round draft choice Ron Brace in today's editions, detailing his transition from Boston College to the pro game.

From the article:

So on his first drive to work from the western part of the state last week, Brace fought traffic on Route 95 and his mind was racing about his transition to the pros. By the time he pulled up at his new 68,000-seat office, he felt energized.

"Seeing it in person, it was kind of an eye-opener," he said. "It woke me up and said, 'It's time to go to work.' When you first get here, you realize you're no longer in school, no longer on scholarship."

For more from Brace, check out the video above (from Friday's minicamp) or read the rest of Reiss's story.

  1. Is it just me, or does he look a little bit like Vince?

  1. This is a good sign for the Pat's ! Robert Kraft was awesome for allowing the event to be held without compensation.....kudos to him.

Now as far as the jokers keeping the nice people from catching a glimpse of the Pat's rookies next door, not in the Dalai Lama spirit at all. Someone in the Pat's organization should get some better people on that T/O crew that can relate well with others. Quickly brought back to the reality that there are jerks everywhere.

  1. hey Mike - do you think the Pats will start throwing some 4-3 D out there on short yardage & goal-line stands?

Warren - Wilfork - Brace - Seymour up front & some combination of

    Thomas - Mayo/Brusci & dare I say J. Taylor

Any ideas of how Mayo might work out on the outside if it were him - Bruschi - Thomas, or do you see him stricly staying on the inside?
