Jason Taylor's statement
Jason Taylor explained his decision to re-sign with the Dolphins in a statement released by his charitable foundation today. The statement is picked up from Ethan Skolnick's article in the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.
"My heart has always been in Miami and so I'm truly excited to call myself a Dolphin once again. I was presented with a number of different opportunities, but in the end the combination of this being the best situation for my family, my love for this community and my tremendous loyalty to a great organization made this an easy decision."

Too bad they had no loyalty to you, Jason. Or have you forgotten? Guess you just don't want that SB ring bad enough....
I would of thought he would have been more like Junior Seau and want to come to a winning organization like the Pats.
I can't fault the guy for wanting to be near his family....but yeah, his head clearly isn't in football anymore.
Hey Lisa Moss and Welker and Morris and Thomas and Seau and O'Neal all were thinking the same thing that you are thinking..oh wait you said WINNING the Super Bowl. well...never mind then.
So let me understand this in allegorical terms: Jason Taylor has a huge, public falling out with his "wife" (Dolphins) and storms off in a hissy fit. Trying to recapture his fleeting youth, he sews his oats by dancing with some "stars" and wearing tight pants. Then, he shacks up with another woman (Redskins) who, once the thrill of the affair wears off, realize she has no more interest in him and kicks him to the curb. Jason then has a chance to move into a Boston Penthouse filled with Lombardis (Patriots), but instead sulks back him to his shack by the beach in Miami with the housecoat wearing wife he originally left in the first place (Dolphins) because that's "where his heart has always been." And, humorously, his spurned wife actually lets Jason back in the house even though they already had a big fight. Now they both just look ridiculous and desperate. Sounds "fishy" to me...
