MMQB highlights Pats

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff May 25, 2009 09:55 AM

SI.com's Peter King leads off his "Monday Morning Quarterback" column this week with some thoughts on the Patriots, which includes comments from receiver Wes Welker.

Welker responds to a question on if team's offense will be better than it was in its record-settting 2007 season, and King writes that Brady estimates he's thrown to Randy Moss at least 12 times this offseason.

King also previews a piece he writes on Brady for this week's Sports Illustrated.

Brady last spoke with New England reporters as a group at a charity event (part 1 of the interview; part 2 of the interview).

  1. Anything that talks about Brady throwing is great news for the Patriots.

When we get the first few games out of the way and Tom wont be as rusty, this passing offense will be the best in the league alongside Arizona.

  1. King says "I've got the first extended interview with Brady since the Sept. 7 knee injury that knocked him out for the 2008 season."

Mike says - 'BTW - here's where I interviewed him in an extended two part interview in January."

Everyone here knows that King knows absolutely nothing about New England Football. I'll only read his article to see how wrong King is and to see what quotes Tom drops.

    You rock, Mike!
