Moss talks NASCAR

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff May 23, 2009 12:00 PM

Patriots receiver Randy Moss talks about his involvement in NASCAR in a Q&A published by Don Coble in the Florida Times-Union.

Moss touches on how he plans to balance his football career and NASCAR business, and how his involvement in NASCAR is received among Patriots players and other employees.

"Everything has been positive. Positive feedback," Moss said. "You have a lot of guys that think their boy can change tires or drive."

Moss said he can't compare the feeling of winning a football game and a NASCAR race, because they are two distinct entities.

  1. There you go, Moss! Never would have thought Nascar and Randy Moss would be a pair.

  1. Frankly, I,for one, am surprised to hear about this because I, personally, believe NASCAR to be a very racially biased, and bigoted, organization.

  1. Best of luck, Randy. Hope you do well in your hobby. Apparently owning a racing organization as Moss had bought in as, can be very expensive. Joe Gibbs, who also had been a owner in NASCAR, said he hoped Randy Moss has lots of money, because the sports burn up money real fast. Randy Moss has been a good guy and I really hate to see him end up like some other NFL players who squander their money made while they are playing.

  1. For Andy M: Your point is well taken, but that still does not change my opinion of NASCAR and the majority of it's people.
