As part of the recently concluded NFL spring meeting, the league voted to allow clubs to part in state lotteries under certain conditions (e.g. the involvement can not include the outcome of games).
It didn't take long for the Patriots to strike a deal.
The team announced today that it is developing the first licensed NFL instant ticket with the Massachusetts State Lottery.
“We look forward to being the first NFL team to partner on an instant ticket,” Jonathan Kraft, President and Chief Operating Officer for The Kraft Group, said in a statement. “We know it will be beneficial for the Patriots, the Massachusetts State Lottery and for local communities.”
