Patriots release 2

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff May 26, 2009 05:51 PM

The Patriots waived offensive lineman Damane Duckett and tight end Brad Listorti today.

Both were longer shots to make the roster.

The Patriots now have 90 players on their roster, 78 of whom are under contract (12 draft picks remain unsigned). Teams are allowed to have up to 80 players under contract on their roster.

Your comment is so uncalled for. Those two, like many other players who could not make it as a NFL player, had spent their whole life trying to pursue their dream. Being cut from the team must be so heartbreaking for them. Your comment served no purpose whatsoever.
