Tinoisamoa visits Patriots

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff May 26, 2009 05:18 PM

The Patriots are hosting free agent linebacker Pisa Tinoisamoa on a vist today at Gillette Stadium, a league source confirms. The visit by Tinoisamoa was reported by the Chicago Tribune.

Tinoisamoa was released by the Rams earlier this offseason. He would project to an inside linebacker spot in the Patriots' 3-4 defense, although he doesn't have the size the Patriots usually seek for that position. The Patriots had their depth thinned after third-round draft choice Tyrone McKenzie tore his ACL in rookie minicamp. McKenzie is expected to be out for the year.

  1. I love that Mike references the Tribune article and that article references Mike. Circular. Even in Chicago, they know that Mike is The Man to ask about the Patriots.
