Scout leaves Patriots

The Patriots' personnel/scouting department has undergone significant change this offseason, with Scott Pioli (VP of Player Personnel), Jay Muraco (college scouting coordinator), Jim Nagy (area scout) and Marvin Allen (area scout) departing.

One other change that wasn't previously accounted for is the departure of area scout Adam Peters, who has joined the Denver Broncos as a regional scout.

Peters was with the Patriots from 2003-2008, starting as a scouting assistant, then working as a pro scout before serving three seasons as an area scout. Serving as a regional scout is a promotion for Peters, who played in college at UCLA and has strong ties in the western part of the country.

  1. I would like to see another successful organization get hit once in a while (Pitt, Giants, Indy) not just the Pats. We still haven't seen a SB victory since the first wave of coaches left the team after '04....

  1. Scouts change organizations all the time but they don't hold press conferences about it. Credit Reiss for providing a few crumbs in a period when not much is going on.

    It happens every year to the good teams, get used to it, its the NFL.

    Just from this offseason...
    Indy : DC Ron Meeks, O-Line Howard Mudd, plus Dungy retiring
    Giants: DC Steve Spagnuolo
    Don't know about anyone from steelers

  1. The Steelers just played against a big chunk of their old coaching staff who are now at Arizona. They lost out on the chance to replace Cowher as head coach.

    Imagine playing against McDaniels or Mangini in the Super Bowl.

    Something like that.
