Tuesday plan

Posted by Mike Reiss, Globe Staff June 9, 2009 09:30 AM

The Patriots are holding their final voluntary organized team activity today at Gillette Stadium, with the practice scheduled to be held from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Media members will have access to the OTA, and interviews are scheduled to follow.

The plan will be to pass along some obsverations after the OTA, which is the 12th of the team's 12 scheduled sessions this offseason.

Linebacker Tedy Bruschi explained last week how the OTAs blend into the mandatory minicamp, which is scheduled for Wednesday-Friday.

"The way they schedule it here, we have the OTAs and the minicamp, so there is no real break in between. It’s constant steps that we’re taking upward. It’s not like you take two steps forward and have three weeks off and then you come back," Bruschi said. "I think they formulate well here in that it’s non-stop football, going from Day 1 to however many days we have it consecutively.”

  1. Other than the fact that the mini camp is mandatory, are there other differences with an OTA? For example, is contact permissible during the mini camp? Thanks.
