  1. Mike, thanks for the heads up......what's the deal with so many players not present at mandatory minicamp besides Tate & McKenzie??? Are the players that are not participating still in town rehabbing with the team/studying film & the playbook? Any news on Tate....do you see him going & coming of the PUP list after 6 weeks so he can play this year?? Sorry about all the questions but I live in CO. & crave anything Patriot related.....HELP!!!! PS: do you go to the Patriots away games...I'm a member of the PIKES PEAK PATS the only official fan club of Colorado....we're planning a huge tailgate party at the Invesco Field Parking lot on OCT. 11th VS the dreded Donkey's, would love for you to stop by!!!

  1. i am also concerned especially the rookies since i dont think they are "locks" yet they are not on the field - maybe they are in film sessions? Also what happened to Mayo? Did he get injured or he has a big ego now after that award? I recall him saying to improve more but with ota and this being no show i am not sure if what he said was true...

  1. Alex,
Mayo retired because his ego was too big to get into the building. Very sad

  1. mike - what's up with those that were absent?
are they injured? (I know a couple are recouperating after surgeries & things, but this seems like an awful lot of guys to not be there for MANDATORY practice)

Especially concerned about Mayo (whom not long ago sounded like he was living in the training room off-season) & Merriwhether...
Is there any such thing as being "excused" from this camp? (seems like that wouldn't go over too good with Wilfork, if some of these players were - especially aftaer dropping the 1/2 million dollar no-show threat recently

  1. Hey, Mardak - What's so great about Mayo and Meriweather not being there. that gives me some concern that our last 2 first roundpicks are working. Uggg!

  1. Mike, do you have an idea why some players were missing the first day of minicamp? I assume some missed due to injuries and recoveries from them (Greene, Warren, Ventorone, McKenzie), and some Navy guys might not be allowed to due to participate due to regulation.
I am particularly interested in why Mayo, Sammis, Meriweather and LeVoir are not present today.
