This year marks the first time that NFL teams are allowed to wear corporate logos on their practice jerseys.

The Patriots announced this morning that they have taken advantage of this new rule. Their practice jerseys will have a Gillette corporate logo on them.

  1. Won't be long until corporate sponors will be on the game day jerseys.

We'll also see Dunkin Donughts on the Red Sox sleeve.

  1. I really, really, really hope that's as far as it goes. Between this, Thursday night NFL football (indeed, the entire NFL Network itself), and now having the draft on a weekday night, the NFL is certainly doing its best to kill my enthusiasm for the sport.

  1. They'll look like NASCAR drivers soon. How much for the space under Brett Favre's armpits, when he raises his arms in celebration after a touchdown pass? Wait, he's retired . . . or is he? Never mind.
