Patriots coach Bill Belichick didn't provide much insight into the status of quarterback Tom Brady in his postgame press conference with the media.
"He's got some bumps and bruises like everyone else who played in the game," said Belichick.
Brady, who appeared to possibly tweak his right shoulder on a hit from Albert Haynesworth late in the first half, briefly appeared on the sideline to start the second half, but returned to the locker room before the Patriots' first offensive series, turning the reigns over to Kevin O'Connell.
A request to Patriots officials for an injury report returned only a status of "sore shoulder."
Belichick was asked if the plan was to play Brady only in the first half.
"Yeah, we wanted to look at Kevin (O'Connell) and Andrew (Walter)," said Belichick.
Pressed if an injury had accelerated how quickly O'Connell had been inserted, Belichick wouldn't bite.
"We wanted to look at Andrew and Kevin in the second half."
