A few thoughts from halftime of tonight's Patriots-Redskins game:
Tom Brady and Randy Moss look ready for prime time. Brady's accuracy is better tonight than it was last Thursday against the Bengals.
The defense hasn't played with a consistent spark. Gary Guyton has played more than Pierre Woods at linebacker. Tedy Bruschi is on the second team once again. Not much playmaking on the night from the defense. Overall, the team is mixing its defensive looks but the overall performance has been uneven.
Brady and Joey Galloway are having trouble getting on the same page. At one point, after coming back toward the huddle following an incompletion, Galloway had his palms up and his arms stretched wide while talking with Brady. It seemed to be a case of Brady thinking Galloway was going to be in a different spot. Brady also couldn't connect with Fred Taylor at one point in a similar situation.
Matthew Slater had a fair catch interference for the second week in a row. It's an inexcusable penalty, but it is unlikely to affect his roster spot. Slater continues to be a member of all special teams units.
Rookie Jake Ingram appears to be creating some separation in the long snapper competition.
