Lest you think it's all work and no play inside the Patriots' locker room, players do find ways to amuse themselves during the breaks in the action.
During media access Tuesday morning, members of the Patriots.com crew approached special teams standout Sam Aiken for an on-camera interview next to his locker. Second-year linebacker Jerod Mayo walked by and tried to distract Aiken by staring at him from over the cameraman's shoulder.
Aiken didn't flinch, but the crowd steadily grew. Defensive end Richard Seymour stopped for a moment and joined the staredown. Soon after, cornerback Jonathan Wilhite saddled up next to Mayo.
Finally, Aiken cracked as Mayo and Wilhite ran off towards the weight room (see the video embedded above).
Other sights Tuesday: Myron Pryor sitting at the temporary (and somewhat unsightly) blue rookie lockers in the middle of the room, firing off e-mails on his laptop, while listening to music ... Vince Wilfork kicking a soccer ball while conversing with Randy Moss, who was sprawled on the ground in front of his locker, laughing as he answered text messages on his phone ... Whether it was being piped from the weight room or someone's locker, Kings of Leon's "Closer" from their album Only By the Night was absolutely blaring as media members conversed with Tedy Bruschi at the end of the session.
