Every Tuesday on Boston.com, questions from Patriots fans are answered as part of a weekly mailbag. This week's mailbag has been posted and includes some of the following topics:

woo!
nice ...early this week.
BJGE is another back up that everybody loves until he starts and realizes he's just another player... It's the backup QB syndrome. All preseason it's just against 2nd and 3rd players who will be flipping burgers soon... If he was the best back he would be starting... Bill plays the best players....
Still no word on how fans can buy TB12 hats?
Also, I don't understand what type of person follow Patriots/football coverage enough to contact Reiss, and know Lorenzo Neal and Adam Seward were released, but are oblivious enough to wonder if they might fit the Patriots system.
@ Showtime -
Agree that BenJ is not "the best back on the team." I think he demonstrated enough in "real" games last season and in what he DID do against #2s and #3s this pre-season (where you expect him to shine as he did), to justify making the 53 and being an active, regular part of the RBBC rotation.
Hi Jack. Check out Tom Brady's website, which will be re-designed in the coming weeks. They might sell the TB12 hats there. Not sure, but it's possible.

Maineman,
I agree with you, but some fans just have to hype that type of player... He's a fine back and should be on the 53 man roster.
Mike, if only it was that easy! Tombrady.com isn't selling any merch, and the hats don't show up in Amazon.com, the NFL shop or any other predictable internet retailer. We are counting on you to sneak the question into the next press conference. I'm sure it'd make for a more interesting response than someone else feeding him for a predictable stock answer.
MaineMan, a lot of Benjarvus' work in "real" games last season was in mop up duty though. Really, the way the OL was playing towards the middle and end of last season, I think I could have gotten some decent yardage.
I'd probably keep BJGE, but mostly because the other guys have age/injury concerns. Remember, the Pats lost a running back in Heath Evans, so it makes sense to again carry five running backs instead of a 4th TE.
@ MarkZ --
You pretty much summed up my thoughts about it, including the Evans loss and 4th TE thing.
However, I'm also hoping that the Packers have a brain cramp and cut Tyrell Sutton so we can snatch him up to our P/S and move him up to the 53 next season. With his broken arm in a cast, he had 80+ yards rushing and 45 yards receiving against Missouri. In the first half.
