Minor alteration to schedule; a look ahead

The Patriots sent out the following information regarding Sunday's afternoon practice:

Today’s afternoon practice has changed. The practice will start at 4:15 p.m. and is expected to run until 5:30 p.m. Weather permitting, the practice will remain on the outdoor fields and will be open to the public.

Also, the team released more information about the training camp schedule through Friday:

SUNDAY, AUG. 2

  • 9:30-11:15 a.m. -- Morning practice
  • 4:15-5:30 p.m. -- Afternoon practice

    MONDAY, AUG. 3

  • 9:30-11:15 a.m. -- Morning practice
  • 3:45-5:30 p.m. -- Afternoon practice

    TUESDAY, AUG. 4

  • 9:30-11:15 a.m. -- Morning practice
  • 3:45-5:30 p.m. -- Afternoon practice

    WEDNESDAY, AUG. 5
  • 9:30-11:15 a.m. -- Morning practice
  • 3:45-5:30 p.m. -- Afternoon practice

    THURSDAY, AUG. 6
  • 9:30-11:15 a.m. -- Morning practice
  • 6:30-8:15 p.m. -- Annual season-ticket holder event (ticketed practice held inside Gillette Stadium)

    FRIDAY, AUG. 7

  • 9:30-11:15 a.m. -- Morning practice
  • 3:45-5:30 p.m. -- Afternoon practice

    If this schedule holds true to form, the Patriots will open camp with nine straight days of double-session practices.

    1. Looks like BB wants to get the guys conditioning up as well as getting all the new faces as familiar as possible with the playbook. He wants to get off to good start, starting with preseason.......if they lose 4 preseason games, he won't be a happy camper !

    1. Dave S: I think it's about the same. They did almost 6 hours every 2 days when they alternated between 2 and 1 a day. Now they are doing 6 hours every 2 days with 4 practices. BB said they were doing the running game in the morning and passing in the afternoon. Seems like a good structure. And someone like Moss gets mornings off.
