FOXBOROUGH -- The Patriots hosted free-agent defensive lineman Vonnie Holliday on a visit at Gillette Stadium, a league source confirmed.
Alex Marvez of Foxsports.com first reported the Patriots' visit with Holliday.
Holliday has played 11 seasons, starting with Green Bay (1998-2002), before stops in Kansas City (2003-2004) and Miami (2005-2008). At 6-foot-5, 285 pounds, he would project to defensive end in the Patriots' system.
This isn't the first time the Patriots have explored the possibility of signing a veteran lineman in recent weeks, as the team hosted veteran free-agent defensive lineman Kevin Carter last Tuesday.
