  1. Farewell Tedy you will be missed. Along with Troy Brown you were everything a Patriot is supposed to be!

  1. This shouldn't surprise anyone, Bru really has nothing left. I'm sure he wanted to play forever but this is a kids game and he just can't move fast enough to be effective anymore. He was a great player and the heart and soul of the Patriots defense for the last 9 years. Happy trails Tedy, you'll be missed.

  1. What can you say? This is a sad day. But it appears the team and Tedy realize the time is right. This isn't a retirement due to injury. He can walk away with his head held high. Because of that it is also a happy day. From my perspective he does not have any unfinished business left on the playing field. Thanks for the memories Tedy, it was a pleasure to root for you on and off the field.

  1. Raise a glass, ladies and gents, for one of the greatest Patriots ever.

A sad day for Pats fans, even tough we knew it would come.

Full Tilt, Full Time. Thanks for everything, #54. You'll be missed.

  1. It is time but we will still miss you Tedy.

I'm turn because I thought he'd be a good back up this year. He's not a starter but how many back ups do teams have that know the defense as well as tedy does. That's a big advantage and he knows the division.

However, it's also nice to see a player go when the time is right. I'm sure it's tough for him but it's probably for the best.

    Enjoy your family Tedy.

  1. Seems like the writing has been on the wall... this may have been an indication that his spot on the team was tenuous, so it allows him to go out on his own terms.

  1. Say what you will about the Patriots, and people do, but 'boring' certainly doesn't fit them.

Unless of course you're referring to a Bill B press conference.

  1. Thanks, Tedy, for all of the great memories and for all of the great plays. The Super Bowls, the Snow Bowl, the return from the stroke. One of the greatest Patriots to ever play the game.

  1. too bad, I knew when I watched last game he looked slow and old. Just wish he couldve went out with a ring, him and Harrison. This year they're winning the Superbowl....he couldve made the team....who knows? maybe if theres an injury he'll get added to the roster, like Rosie last year,....maybe thats the plan? who knows with the Pats
