Video leftovers: Baker & Mankins
Tight end Chris Baker isn't likely to win over many New England fans by sporting Yankee hats inside the Patriots' locker room, but he can probably get away with it if he continues to perform the way he did against the Eagles when he reeled in two Tom Brady touchdown passes at pat of a 27-25 triumph in Philadelphia.
In this video leftover from Thursday night, Baker talks about how Brady looked to him and his own comfort level in the offense (Baker gives credit to Randy Moss for drawing coverage away from him on the two touchdown passes).
Logan Mankins also appears in the clip and, when asked about Brady, initially jokes that he's, "Tired of talking about Tom, everything's about Tom around here" before chuckling and adding, "No, we love Tom. He does a great job. You guys saw him tonight, the knee looked alright."

I agree. If he's going to catch two touchdowns every half he plays he can wear any darn hat he wants. :-)
Someone needs to tell Baker to get rid of the yankees hat
Baker's IQ must be 8 if he thinks wearing a Yankee cap in the Patriot locker room is a smart thing. Fans will hate him for that. At least Tom hids his love of the Yankees. That's why his is the QB (smarts).
I don't care if Baker wears a Jets hat as long as he has better hands than Watson.
i dont care which hat he wears, as long as he keeps catchin those touchdowns. he used to play for the jets in new york for a long time anyway. he's going to be a huge steal this season and i think he's clearly the No. 1 TE on the roster.
This shows that he's a moron. Good football player but dumb. He's going out of his way to wear that hat and infuriate New England sports fans. Why would someone do that? What is his motivation?
That is just not right. Its ok, for Curt Chiling to wear Sealers Jersey, but if someone wear NY hat, we suppose to hat him. Just not fair..

get over it jim. he was born in queens and played for the jets. his motivation is...he's a fan of his hometown team. different people like different teams, it's not a big deal.
Message to Baker.. Stop wearing the NY hat. You now play in New England. Start taking your cue from Brady and learn to be a team player/fan and community leader.
Hurling personal insults at Baker for wearing a Yankees cap sounds like something a Steelers fan would do. I though Patriots fans were better than that.

The good news, Chris Baker, is that most people you'll encounter during your time in New England aren't grown men masquerading as junior high school girls. Wear any damn hat you want, brother.
