Who's to blame for Patriots' Super Bowl loss?
Aaron Hernandez and Wes Welker
Hernandez and Welker each dropped crucial passes that would have put the Patriots in better position to score. The Hernandez play was more of a pure drop and came on the Patriots' desperate final drive. Hernandez had a great game otherwise with 7 catches for 67 yards and a touchdown. Welker's drop was more crucial, but it also came on an imperfect pass. No matter who you blame for that drop, it cost them a chance to score and to be in prime field position with 4:06 left in the game.
