10 reasons for optimism after the Patriots loss
1. The Jets stink
The Giants may have the Patriots' number for now, but the two teams aren't true rivals because they don't play often enough. The Patriots still play the Jets twice a season, and at this point the Patriots are the the alpha dogs despite all of Rex Ryan's bluster. The Patriots have won the AFC East the past three seasons, and although they lost the Super Bowl, they've at least appeared in one. The last time the Jets appeared in the Super Bowl was in 1968, their only Super Bowl victory.
