Last year: Brittany Lincicome beat Lorena Ochoa by a stroke for her second Tour title, closing with an even-par 72 in windy conditions. Ochoa finished with a 77.
Last week: Ochoa earned the 27th and final point needed to qualify for the LPGA Tour Hall of Fame, winning the Corona Championship by 11 strokes in her native Mexico for her third straight victory and fourth in five starts this year. The 21-time Tour winner will be eligible for induction in 2012. She shot 66-66-66-69 to finish 25 under.
Of note: Ochoa is trying to become the fourth player in LPGA history to win four consecutively scheduled events. Mickey Wright set the record in 1962 and matched it in 1963. Kathy Whitworth (1969) and Annika Sorenstam (2001) also have accomplished the feat. Nancy Lopez (1978) and Sorenstam (2004-05) share the record for consecutive victories in tournaments entered (5) . . . Forty-nine of the top 50 players on the money list and nine of the top 10 in the world rankings - seventh-ranked Ji-Yai Shin is missing - are in the field.

Last year: Boo Weekley won his first PGA Tour title, chipping in on the final two holes to hold off Ernie Els by a stroke.
Last week: Trevor Immelman won the Masters, closing with a 3-over 75 - matching the highest final round by a champion - for a three-stroke victory over Tiger Woods. Immelman finished at 8 under.
Of note: Five-time champion Davis Love is making his 23d straight appearance in the event. He failed to qualify for the Masters, ending his string of major appearances at 70. Love last won at Hilton Head in 2003, beating Woody Austin on the fourth hole of a playoff.

PGA EUROPE

Volvo China Open.
Site: Beijing CBD International Golf Club (7,321 yards, par 72).
Schedule: Today-Sunday.
Purse: $2.2 million. Winner's share: $367,740.

Last year: Austria's Markus Brier won at Shanghai Silport, finishing with a 4-under 67 for a five-stroke victory.
Of note: Northern Ireland's Graeme McDowell, the Ballantine's Championship winner last month in South Korea, is in the field along with Brier, England's David Howell, and Chinese star Liang Wen-chong.

CHAMPIONS

Site: TPC Tampa Bay (6,828 yards, par 71) in Lutz, Fla.
Schedule: Tomorrow-Sunday.
Purse: $1.7 million. Winner's share: $255,000.
Television: Golf Channel (tomorrow, 1-3 p.m.; Saturday, 2:30-4:30 a.m.) and Ch. 7 (Saturday, 4-6 p.m.; Sunday, 1-3 p.m.).
Last year: Tom Watson beat Jay Haas and Andy Bean by a stroke for his first victory in 94 pro starts in Florida. Watson closed with a 70.
Last event: Mark Wiebe won the inaugural Cap Cana Championship April 6 in the Dominican Republic, leading wire to wire en route to a four-stroke victory.
Of note: Watson missed the cut in the Masters, shooting consecutive 75s . . . Three-time PGA Tour winner Mike Hulbert is making his Tour debut. He turned 50 Monday.

NATIONWIDE

Athens Regional Foundation Classic.
Site: Jennings Mill Country Club (7,004 yards, par 72) in Bogart, Ga.
Schedule: Today-Sunday.
Purse: $525,000. Winner's share: $94,500.
Television: None.
Last year: Scotland's Martin Laird won his first Nationwide title, birdieing the final hole for a one-stroke victory over Justin Bolli and Jeremy Anderson. Laird, now playing the PGA Tour, had the lone wire-to-wire victory on the '07 tour.
Last event: Australia's Aron Price won the Livermore Valley Championship April 6 for his first tour title, beating J.J. Killeen with a par on the second playoff hole. Killeen missed a 3-foot par putt.
Of note: Former Georgia All-Americans Chris Kirk, Brendon Todd, and Ryan Hybl received sponsor exemptions. Kirk won the 2007 Ben Hogan Award as the top college player . . . Australians have won four of six events this year.
