Twice the fun
Boston Golf Club is sending two professionals to the PGA Professional National Championship, which starts Monday at Santa Ana Pueblo, N.M., with 20 spots in the PGA Championship on the line. Weaver and Boomer Erick will be representing the Hingham club. The other local professionals trying to play their way into the PGA include Eric Barlow (Worcester), Frank Dully (Kernwood), Daniel Dwyer (Bass Rocks), George Goich (Turner Hill), Bret Gracey (Concord), Adam Hemeon (Weston), Cory Mansfield (Fore U Golf Center), Mark Heartfield (Sankaty Head), Scott Spence (Carnegie Abbey), Brian Spitz (Black Rock), Thomas Tobey (Bay Pointe), Jay Wick (Old Sandwich), Greg Yeomans (Bay Club), James Antonelli (Marshfield), John Hickson (golf retail manager, Dick’s Sporting Goods), Ron Philo (Sugarbush), Chip Johnson (Hatherly), and Jeff Martin (Point Judith).Amateurs
