PGA officials just announced that first-round play at the 92d PGA Championship in Kohler, Wis., will begin at 11:10 a.m. Eastern. That would end the fog delay at 3 hours, 10 minutes, since play at Whistling Straits was supposed to begin at 8 a.m. Eastern.
Tiger Woods was scheduled to begin his first round at 9:20 a.m. Eastern, which puts his new start time at 12:30 p.m.
Not all of the 156 players will finish their first rounds today, since play really won't be able to continue much past 8 p.m. local time. Since there was roughly an hour of wiggle room per day as far as playing until dark, it's doubtful everybody will be able to complete two rounds by the end of tomorrow, so the 36-hole cut might not come until Saturday.
