After the final whistle of the game, Chris Kelly threw down with Toronto's Leo Komarov. The Bruins defeated the Maple Leafs, 4-1, in Boston, to take a 1-0 lead in their best-of-7 first-round playoff series.

Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask ventured far from his net in the second period to try to swipe at a loose puck, but he ended up jousting with Toronto's Nikolai Kulemin as teammate Andrew Ference helped out.

Milan Lucic assisted teammate David Krecji in a second period goal that put the Bruins ahead of Toronto 3-1.
