Chris Kreider’s OT goal keeps Rangers alive in playoffs

Rangers forward Chris Kreider, who had his share of struggles this season, has worked diligently on his game and played a variety of roles. On Thursday night, coach John Tortorella rewarded him by elevating Kreider to a line with right wing Rick Nash and center Derick Brassard for Game 4, which was pivotal for the Rangers.

Kreider scored the winning goal at 7:03 of overtime to give the Rangers a 4-3 victory and keep them alive for Saturday’s Game 5. The Bruins lead the series, 3-1, now as the series shifts back to Boston.

The goal was Kreider’s first of the postseason in his seventh postseason game of the year.

Kreider credited Nash with the outstanding play.
