Jarome Iginla wanted nothing more than to win a Stanley Cup for his Calgary Flames. He was an icon in a city that had established a connection with an athlete few cities or athletes experience. But as the seasons wore on, as the Flames slipped farther and farther from contention, Iginla was deemed expendable, traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins last season by a rebuilding franchise.
