Three days after he was a late scratch in Saturday night’s game against Ottawa, Zdeno Chara was back on the practice ice in Wilmington and back in the lineup against the Islanders Tuesday night. The Bruins defenseman had been held out against the Senators with an undisclosed injury, participated in half of practice Monday, then was a full participant in morning skate Tuesday.
Chara’s absence was even more notable given what had happened the night before, when Dennis Seidenberg suffered a season-ending knee injury.
“If you look at it, it is not always the case that you’re going to be 100 percent,” Chara said. “A lot of players go through that. You’re going to have to battle through some aches and pains.” Full story for BostonGlobe.com subscribers.
