Bruins hit road early in preseason, too

The Bruins, who play an NHL-high eight regular-season games on the road in October, will be spending significant time away from home during the exhibition season as well.

The Bruins will play six of eight preseason games away from TD Banknorth Garden, with three in Atlantic Canada - Sept. 22 against Montreal in Halifax, Nova Scotia; Sept. 23 against the Islanders in Moncton, New Brunswick; and Sept. 25 against Detroit in Halifax.

The Bruins will also spend three nights in Stowe, Vt., replicating their team-building trip last season. Their two home matches are Sept. 27 against Washington at 4 p.m. and Oct. 4 against the Islanders at 4 p.m.

Sept. 22 vs. Montreal at Halifax, 8 p.m.

Sept. 23 vs. Islanders at Moncton, 8:30 p.m.

Sept. 25 vs. Detroit at Halifax, 8 p.m.

Sept. 26 at Detroit, 7:30 p.m.

Sept. 27 vs. Washington, 4 p.m.

Oct. 1 at Montreal, 7:30 p.m.

Oct. 4 vs. Islanders, 4 p.m.

Oct. 5 at Washington, 5 p.m.
