The 6-foot-8-inch defenseman, taken 12th overall in the 2008 draft, is also the second-tallest player in the league behind the Bruins’ Zdeno Chara (6-9). He scored his third goal of the season in the Sabres’ 5-2 home loss to Philadelphia.
