Tim Thomas will start tonight against Buffalo, while Hannu Toivonen will get the nod tomorrow at home against Pittsburgh, most likely wearing his just-delivered new mask.

* Lewis said his top two lines will remain the same tonight. Because of the injury to Wayne Primeau, he'll do some juggling on the third and fourth lines.

* Brad Boyes, who played his first full game at center on Monday, will play center again tonight. Lewis said he might play an odd shift at wing.

* Petr Tenkrat was the lone Bruin wearing a black helmet during the morning skate. Tenkrat explained that the loser of each practice-ending shootout must wear a different-colored helmet (either black or white) than the rest of the team. Today, Stanislav Chistov lost the shootout, meaning he'll wear a white helmet at home tomorrow while his teammates wear black.

* Zdeno Chara, the first Bruin onto the ice, accidentally tagged Johnny Bucyk on the head with the blade of his stick. There were smiles all around as Chief wasn't hurt.

* P.J. Axelsson, Glen Murray, Marco Sturm, Brad Stuart, and Paul Mara didn't participate in the morning skate.
