Mike Milbury, once in the mix to replace Dave Lewis behind the Boston bench, will be working at TD Banknorth Garden after all.

NESN announced today that Milbury, the former Islanders executive, will serve as a studio analyst this season. Milbury will be part of NESN's pre-game, intermission, and post-game analysis.

"I'm very happy to be joining the NESN team," Milbury said in a statement. "This opportunity is giving me a chance to be connected once again with the organization that I cheered for growing up and broke into the league with both as a player and a coach."

* The Bruins announced the re-signings of defenseman Sean Curry (unrestricted free agent) and goalie Jordan Sigalet (RFA) today. Curry and Sigalet, who played in Providence last season, should be back with the AHL club in 2007-08. Curry will be one of the more experienced defensemen in Providence and is a candidate to replace Jay Leach as captain. Sigalet will serve as Tuukka Rask's backup.
