Price tonight
Hotshot Montreal goalie Carey Price (2-1-1, 2.65 GAA, .906 save percentage) will start tonight. No word on whether the Bruins will counter with fellow 20-year-old rookie Tuukka Rask.
Tim Thomas has a lifetime record against Montreal of 4-8-0 with a 2.77 GAA and a .913 save percentage.
Thomas (5-3-2, 1.67 GAA, .948 save percentage) is in the top five in both GAA and save percentage and would give Boston the best chance of winning. A victory tonight would give the Bruins a 2-1-2 record to start their nine-game stretch against division rivals.
However, with Manny Fernandez's timetable unknown, the Bruins might be at risk of burning Thomas out -- he has started the last six games -- early in the season.
* Patrice Bergeron is still on schedule to speak at 2 p.m. today at TD Banknorth Garden. Because of his condition, Bergeron is limited to 10 minutes of questions (five in English, five in French). It will be his first media appearance since sustaining his Grade 3 concussion and broken nose on Oct. 27.
