Bruins 2, Canadiens 2 (OT)

Wow.

Patrice Brisebois's one-timer hit squarely on the right post as time expired during a four-minute power play. On the replay, it appeared as if the goal would have counted had it gone in the Boston net.

Wow.

The Bruins will have 1:43 remaining on Shawn Thornton's high-sticking double minor in overtime.

  1. why is shawn thornton on the ice with two minutes left in the most important game of the year???????? Julien should be criminally investigated by the league for "throwing the game".....sound like an over-reaction?........well let me ask one more time....WHY WAS THORNTON ON THE ICE WITH TWO MINUTES LEFT!!!!!?????

  1. i'll remind anyone reading i'm a lifelong diehard habs fan.

having said that, this game was terrible. the bruins outplayed the habs the whole game and then withstood a 5 on 3 late in regulation. they were clearly more confident coming out of the dressing room to o.t., and more loose going into it at the end of the third period.

that call on the markov trip was RIDICULOUS. i want my team to win fair and square. i want them to beat the other team, not be helped by the officials. the officials called some ridiculous calls on the canadiens when they were up by 2, and eventually it helped out. then, as if on cue, they changed sides to call everything on the canadiens. you HAVE to let them play a bit. yes the kovalev call was a slash, and deserving of a 5 on 3. yes both bruins were as well. but then to add on the markov trip? give me a break.

i love the nhl and i love beating teams fair and square. the habs STUNK tonight, no one more than kovalev, who scored the game winner. i've watched a lot of playoff hockey this year, and it's been like this in many games. it's ruining the excitement. 6 calls in a row against calgary the other day in a tight game? tonight's debacle? how are we supposed to get fans back and into hockey in boston with this bologna.

i'm disgusted, and my team WON. i can only imagine how B's fans feel.

  1. What a pathetic blog. Why bother if you aren't going to put any effort into it.
