Chara: Norris finalist
Zdeno Chara is one of the three finalists for the Norris Trophy. Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom and Calgary's Dion Phaneuf are the other finalists.
Chara averaged 26:50 of ice time per match this season, third-most in the league behind Florida's Jay Bouwmeester and Tampa Bay's Dan Boyle. Chara set career highs in goals (17), assists (34), and points (51). Chara led the Bruins with a plus-14 rating.
Here was my ballot (five nominations possible): Lidstrom, Chara, Phaneuf, Chris Pronger, and Brian Campbell.

Fluto, congrats on finishing out a great Bruins season. After such an unexpected final push from the Bruins, your family must be glad to have you back in Boston for good. Thanks for such great reporting!! It was a fun season, and my family and I were always looking forward to your Bruins updates. Can't wait for the next season to start, hahaha!
Keep up the great work!!

Chara is easily the worst of that group
With Glen Murray leaving game seven due to injury, Chara aptly took his place as worst player on the ice. Tough to watch him go through the motions in the biggest game of the season. Remember what we did to Joe Thornton when he did that to us? Chara had a good regular season though, and thats what this award is for.
Great job this year guys, looking forward top the updates in the comming days and through out the summer. Also, could you give us a little NHL draft stuff. It would be nice to see where the bruins are picking, and who falls into that area of the draft.
I thought Chara played a pretty good game. Took appropriate chances at the point, jumped up in the play when it was the right thing to do. And the holding call was very questionable.
This season-ticket holder has no complaints with Chara.
