Game 2 recap
The Bruins lost a 2-1 decision at TD Banknorth Garden on Nov. 8, getting their first look at Carey Price (28 saves). Alex Kovalev and Tomas Plekanec scored for Montreal, while Marco Sturm netted Boston's only score. Tim Thomas started in goal.
* Before the game, Patrice Bergeron made his first public appearance, 12 days after suffering a Grade 3 concussion and broken nose. "I'd be lying if I said I feel good right now," said Bergeron that day. "It's tough for me to be sitting here. I feel a lot of the symptoms from the concussion." Bergeron spoke for approximately 12 minutes (half English, half French) and required a cold compress after the press conference.
* Francis Bouillon, after serving a delay of game penalty in the third period, hit Aaron Ward with an elbow, giving the defenseman a concussion. Bouillon was not penalized nor suspended after the hit. "It appeared like an elbow to the head on that play," said Claude Julien at the time.
* The Bruins had a 1:58 five-on-three power play in the third period after penalties to Bouillon and Mike Komisarek. They failed to score the tying goal.
* Matt Hunwick was brought up on emergency recall after the game.
