Stuart Team USA alternate captain

Mark Stuart and Zach Parise will serve as alternate captains for Team USA during the World Championship.

Jeff Halpern will serve as captain.

Stuart wore the "C" for the Stars & Stripes when the US won its first gold medal at the World Junior Tournament in 2004.

Stuart and Team USA will open tournament play on Friday against Latvia in Halifax.
