Kobasew: $7 million

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff May 13, 2008 07:54 PM

An NHL source confirmed that Chuck Kobasew signed a three-year, $7 million extension today.

Kobasew will earn $2 million in 2008-09 and $2.5 million in 2009-10 and 2010-11. Kobasew's annual cap hit is $2.33 million, a reasonable number for the Bruins, especially framed against the seven-year, $31.5 million contract scored by UFA-to-be Martin Erat from Nashville.

Kobasew had arbitration rights.

  1. Fluto, is there any way you can post the B's current projected 2008-2009 salaries and how much cap space they have to work with?
