New England Cup connections

Players and personnel with New England ties will play significant roles in the Stanley Cup final for both organizations. Here are some of the individuals:

Senior advisor/hockey operations Ed Johnston (former Bruin)
Director of player development Tom Fitzgerald (Billerica, former Bruin, Providence College)
Director of amateur scouting Jay Heinbuck (Northeastern)
Video coordinator Travis Ramsay (son of Bruins assistant coach Craig Ramsay)
Scout Jim Madigan (Northeastern)
Scout Kevin Stevens (Brockton, former Bruin, Boston College)

  1. Pittsburgh's Head Athletic Trainer Chris Stewart was the Lowell Lock Monsters (AHL) atheletic trainer in 04-05.

    Backup goalie (third string?) Dany Sabourin played for the Lowell Lock Monsters as well (03-04).

  1. Hal Gill also grew up somewhere in Central Mass and attended North Middlesex Regional High School.
