Murray clears waivers

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff July 24, 2008 12:54 PM

Glen Murray, placed on unconditional waivers yesterday, was not claimed by any team prior to today's 12 p.m. deadline.

The Bruins can complete Murray's buyout tomorrow.

  1. So, by my math, the Bruins are poised to replace one 4 million dollar, under-performing and one dimensional right winger in Glen Murray with another 4 million dollar, under-performing, one dimensional right winger in Michael Ryder. Kinda moving the coconuts around without addressing their most urgent need - a legitimate top 4 defenceman. Perhaps this is where Manny Fernandez can be of help.
