Preseason schedule released

The Bruins will play only two of their eight preseason games at TD Banknorth Garden: Sept. 27 against Washington and Oct. 4 against the Islanders.

Here is the schedule:

Sept. 22 vs. Montreal at Halifax, 8 p.m.
Sept. 23 vs. Islanders at Moncton, 8:30 p.m.
Sept. 25 vs. Detroit at Halifax, 8 p.m.
Sept. 26 at Detroit, 7:30 p.m.
Sept. 27 vs. Washington, 4 p.m.
Oct. 1 at Montreal, 7:30 p.m.
Oct. 4 vs. Islanders, 4 p.m.
Oct. 5 at Washington, 5 p.m.

* The Bruins will use Halifax as base camp for four nights.

* Like last year, the Bruins will conduct team-building exercises in Stowe, Vt., where they will spend three nights prior to the Oct. 1 match in Montreal.
