Waivers logistics

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff July 24, 2008 08:28 AM

Because Glen Murray was placed on unconditional waivers, any team that claims him before noon today must pay a $125 waivers price. A team claiming Murray must assume the full $4.15 million remaining on his contract.

  1. Why do I feel like a $125 waivers price is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard?

  1. Is it worse than paying a "storage" fee when your car gets towed?

  1. I paid more in storage fees to get my car out of a tow yard a few years ago. Then again, my car is a lot more useful than Glen Murray at this point.

  1. The Bruins need to add more to this team! Hopefully, they are serious about trading for Jay Bouwmeester!
