Chiarelli: Off to Lake Placid
Expect a quiet week from the Bruins, as GM Peter Chiarelli is traveling to Lake Placid, N.Y., to take in some of the US Junior Evaluation Camp. Games against Finland and Sweden kick off today and wrap up on Saturday.
"It's a good landscape to see," Chiarelli said. "There are a lot of drafted Swedes and Finns and a lot of top prospects there. I try and see the top 30 guys each year."
Some of the big names include F James vanRiemsdyk (Philadelphia/University of New Hampshire), F Colin Wilson (Nashville/Boston University), and D Jonathon Blum (Nashville/Vancouver), who played for Team USA in last year's World Junior Tournament.
Other campers include D Blake Kessel, younger brother of Phil Kessel, and F Ryan Bourque, son of Ray Bourque. Kessel will be at UNH this fall, while Bourque will be a Wildcat in 2009-10.

I wonder if the younger Kessel is any better than Phil?
Doesn't matter, Ryan Bourque is worse than both of them combined.
I remember when Blake Kessel got drafted by the Islanders. They were talking like he was better than Phil. Blake was a 3rd round pick I think. Phil was 5th overall. I really don't think there is any comparison. Blake has an outside shot at making the NHL. That's about it.....
ds--Ryan Bourque netted 2 against Finland. Root a little for the kid his old man was one of ours and one of the best and classiest EVER.
