A career highlight for Milan Lucic was meeting Calgary captain Jarome Iginla earlier this summer. The meeting took place when both Lucic and Iginla participated in Chuck Kobasew's charity golf tournament last month in Kelowna, British Columbia.

"He was pretty pumped up to meet Jarome," said Andrew Ference, who also played in the tournament. "He looks up to him. He likes him as a player. He was like a little kid."

Lucic also took part in several workouts in Kelowna.

"He's looking huge as ever," Ference said. "Hopefully he can be a monster like was last year. Some of the other guys at the tournament who didn't see him play the first year commented, 'Geez, this kid's huge.' He was the new kid on the block. Not many guys saw him out west."

COMMENT: If Lucic can develop Iginla's offensive touch, he could make a killing -- both on and off the ice.
