No tryouts expected
While circumstances can always change, GM Peter Chiarelli said that at this time, he doesn't expect to invite any players to training camp on a tryout basis.

Last year, the Bruins invited Glen Metropolit to camp. The center won a job, signed a one-year contract for $500,000, and became a valuable addition, especially after Patrice Bergeron was injured.
Around the league, tryout players include D Bryan Berard (Philadelphia) and F Jeff O'Neill (Carolina).
ANALYSIS: The Bruins are tight against the cap ceiling and have few roster spots open. It would be a surprise if they invite a tryout guy.
