Pipeline from Peterborough

Rob Murray, hired last Thursday to replace Scott Gordon as Providence head coach, played three years of juniors in Peterborough.

Murray, who appeared in 107 career NHL games, played alongside a number of Petes who advanced to the big leagues. Here are some of his former teammates:

Tie Domi (104-141--235 in 1,020 games)
Terry Carkner (42-188--230 in 858 games)
Kris King (66-85--151 in 849 games)
Randy Burridge (199-251--450 in 706 games, including 359 with the Bruins)
Ron Tugnutt (186-239-62, 3.05 GAA, .895 save percentage in 537 games)
John Druce (112-126--239 in 531 games)
Bill Huard (16-18--34 in 223 games, including two with the Bruins)
Kay Whitmore (60-64-16, 3.55 GAA, .875 save percentage in 155 games)
Mark Freer (16-23--39 in 124 games)
Dallas Eakins (0-9--9 in 120 games)
Bruce Shoebottom (1-4--5 in 35 games, all with the Bruins)
