Kobasew: fracture confirmed

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff October 11, 2008 12:14 PM

According to the Bruins, Chuck Kobasew is out indefinitely with a fracture in his right leg that he suffered in the second period of Thursday's 5-4 win over Colorado.

Because of the new rules regarding injury disclosure, clubs do not have to disclose specific information about where the injury is located and approximate time the player will miss.

But it's known that Kobasew took a shot off the right ankle, and that similar injuries shelve players for at least two weeks.

The Bruins' official announcement: "Out indefinitely with a fractured right leg suffered Oct. 9 in Colorado."

  1. This is rediculous. One game , one injury. For all of those calling for Sobotka, if this keeps up we'll see him in Montreal.

  1. Tough luck AGAIN for Chuckie. Well, that's why we like the depth, so Nokie can come in and pick it up. Maybe this puts Wheeler back on the RW?
