Montreal dining report

Posted by Fluto Shinzawa, Globe Staff October 15, 2008 05:31 PM

Enjoyed a top-shelf croque monsieur avec frites for a late lunch at L'Express. Someone has to tell me how a simple ham and cheese sandwich can taste so good. Imagine it has something to do with a cow's worth of butter.

Followed that up with a latte at Caffe Art Java. Montreal is still No. 1 when it comes to dining options.

  1. You went to L'Express and didn't get the Bone Marrow?

  1. Fluto no offense but on gives a crap about your stupid diner reviews, seriously a recap on your delicious ham and cheese sandwich? Go write for the Phantom Gourmet or Bon Appetite or Kanes Donuts monthly, you would be much better doing than covering hockey anyways.

  1. allbost, you obviously are clueless as to what constitutes a great hockey writer. Who the hell is a better blogger than Fluto?

the guy's at every practice and updates his blog nonstop. he's the most clued in hockey writer in boston besides kpd.

his food reviews can be easliy ignored. some people travel outside of dorchester and don't mind hearing about new places.

  1. Fluto uses this blog like he is writing in his my little pony diary, I suggest the 40 Y/O/V go on a date or something instead of informing us on the most boring and mundane aspects of his life. Stop brown nosing the economy is bad in the US and I doubt he is looking to hire a personel asst.

  1. I like the food reviews. I've been to many of these cities, I like to eat, and it adds a little color and humor.

    I like it.
